A memorandum of sale is the initial document provided by the estate agents, illustrating the details of all parties within the transaction. Typically, the document would show the full address of the property, contact details of the seller, buyer and their legal representatives. As soon as the buyer and seller’s solicitors are in receipt of the memorandum of sale, each party will be able to confirm their instructions and proceed further by either requesting the draft contract pack or raising initial enquiries. The EPC is usually included with this document.
